That's right, I am officially out of my 20s...and I feel ok about it! I've had some time to think about the fact that I'm closing out a decade and am now, really, for sure, certainly an adult...'cuz that's what the "3" in front my age number means now, right?
When I look back through the last 10 years, I feel fortunate...I really took advantage of youth and opportunity. From being a student at and graduating from Purdue and meeting people who changed my life forever to moving to Baltimore without knowing anyone...and meeting MORE people who changed my life forever...to getting married, pregnant a couple times, buying a house, getting a second degree, starting a career I feel destined for...I really can't complain. It's not always been easy, and certainly I still deal with day-to-day struggles, but overall, I am blessed.
So, here's to you 30, I embrace you! I look forward to family time, professional growth, life stabilization, good health, fun...and an occasional extra dirty Grey Goose martini...mmm, I can taste it now:)
